Riesling of this quality at this price is unheard of. It comes from the steep (30% to 60%) Taubenhaus vineyard overlooking Trabach in the Mosel and next to some of Germany's most famous vineyards . A light, fresh bouquet of blooming flowers characterizes this delicate, by-the-glass Riesling. Made using grapes from Böcking's own Taubenhaus vineyard, this is vinified in stainless steel and made for immediate drinking pleasure. Entry-level wine doesn't get much vibrant and enlivening than this. An ethereal nose of fresh, blooming white flowers with white peach and green apple notes. Dry to off-dry but with the classic riesling acidity it's all about refreshment. A breakfast wine if ever there was one.

Tasting Notes

Since 1624, the Bocking family has farmed the steep, slate slopes of Trabarch in the Middle Mosel Valley. For the first time, the fruit for the 2015 Bocking Riesling is selected from just one vineyard - the Taubenhaus vineyard perched above the picture perfect village of Trabarch. Pretty phenomenal considering the price tag!

Press Note:

"Love how new German Riesling delivers at entry level - nervous acidity, floral, fruity, off-dry. Nice update of trad.'Fairytale' style label" Peter Dean, The Buyer
