This is a bit of a "how did they do that?!" wine. As in, how on earth do they manage to get that much intensity of flavour into a bottle for that little money?
100% Tempranillo, the wine spends 4 months in French oak before being moved to tank and then allowed to settle in bottle for a few years before release. This is a remarkably expensive process, tying stock up for years, and yet somehow, unbelievably, we're able to sell it for under £10.
We're still looking for the catch!
Swig Tasting Note: Dark berry, vanilla, cream, and cocoa nose that bridges Bordeaux and Ribeira, but without needing the patience these more demanding styles require - just delve in immediately!
The palate is full and textured, with ripe cassis and blueberry fruit, a hearty earthiness, perfumed cedar, and a lingering savoury note that integrates seamlessly into gentle tannic grip on the finish. This tastes like it should be at least £15. 13.5% Drink now - 2020
