Complex aromas of dried apricot and citrus rind with hints of vanilla. The palate is rich and full, but is defined by a central core of fresh acidity. This balances the sweetness and layers of fresh fruit and lees allowing the wine to finish neatly with a lingering zing.
FULL BOTTLES. Vanilla, crème caramel, acacia honey, apricot, oak, earth, the tiniest hint of the fresher aromatics of Semillon. Lovely viscosity, almost like Sauternes jelly, but it's not rich. What overwhelmingly comes across is the balance, making it sit in the mouth beautifully and giving it a long lingering finish. This balancing acidity will help it age for years, although it is truly beautiful now.

A deep amber colour with gorgeous developed notes of dried figs, raisins and well balanced sweetness.
The 2001 of this wine came out ahead in a blind tasting by sommeliers of the legendary Yquem 2001. The 2009 is a is another great vintage. The 2013 exudes succulent, spiced aromas on the nose. Moringa flowers, crystallised stem ginger, baked apricots and frangipani. The palate is bold yet silky smooth – honeyed, with some baking spice, tarte tatin and vanilla . It will only take on more of a profile with time.
