A delightful wine - with gentle aromatics and the lovely peachiness of Rolle (aka Vermentino) with Riesling, Pinot Gris, from the Cevennes. 13% alc.
Gone are the days of thin, inspid Italian whites. This is super vibrant, brimming with sun ripened orchard fruits. Dried mango, peach and green apple jump out of the glass, and the perfectly balanced acidity entices you back for another sip. And another.....
Classy Tuscan white made from Chardonnay, Viognier and Sauvignon.
100% Chenin Blanc from Spain??? Sure, why not? Looks a little like and kind of smells like Irn Bru.
'Saline with a fresh cucumber and celery salt lift. the shapely, vegetal palate is teased out by lingering, pebbly acidity.' 91 points, Decanter
Surprisingly deep in colour for Garnacha, with a hint of purple around the rim to indicate its youthful vibrancy! The first impression is of plump black olives dusted with freshly ground pepper. This segues into a more voluptuous undertone of squashed, juicy black and red cherries, baking spice and delicate violets add an extra touch of finesse. Sweet balsamic tomato adds a savoury tang, backed up by a tangible rusticity that speaks to me of pine resin and the moors in late summer - fragrant, crunchy gorse and heather. Drink now-2016
A blend of 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 30% Merlot, 34% Grenache and 6% Tempranillo, from an obscure corner of Navarra.
This wine has a dual personality: complex and deep, revealing hints of red fruits like black currant, strawberry and raspberry. Fine and elegant, it has all the characteristics of the grape and our terroir. We like to drink it slowly, because it changes every time, glass after glass, all the evening and the following day too.
