Classy Tuscan white made from Chardonnay, Viognier and Sauvignon.
From the beautiful Lavacchio estate that champions organic farming and the organic lifestyle! The nose is earthy at first, but then reveals sweet and sour black cherries surrounded by fresh flower petals, wild herbs and a touch of mint. You could be walking along the Tuscan hills in a late autumn breeze, surveying the beautiful landscape. Those pretty floral notes are just beginning to really express themselves.
"Yantra is a Cabernet / Merlot blend. It is sensational with buoyant cherry notes and a long, soothing, mineral-spiked finish." - Matthew Jukes.com/Money Week
A Yantra is a mandala — a map, chart or geometric pattern which represents the cosmos metaphysically or symbolically — a microcosm of the universe from a human perspective.
60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 40% Merlot that sees stainless steel and some old oak. Surprisingly mature and expressive nose - dried currants, stewing berries with soft leather and wild herbs. Plush palate. Juicy blackcurrants with blackberries and juniper berries, dried cranberries and some tobacco. Vivacious and ready to drink now.
60% Merlot, 20% Cabernet sauvignon and 20% Sangiovese. Super smooth, blackcurrant, oak, rich and complex - plush yet elegant. Beautiful with lamb, beef, pasta with mushrooms.
This wine has a dual personality: complex and deep, revealing hints of red fruits like black currant, strawberry and raspberry. Fine and elegant, it has all the characteristics of the grape and our terroir. We like to drink it slowly, because it changes every time, glass after glass, all the evening and the following day too.
Noi 4 translates as "the four of us" - the four members of the Ratti family. There's a bit of an amazing story behind this one - following on from a kidnap in Milan during the crazy days of the 80's, the family chose to protect their idendity by having "Noi 4" on their door buzzer, rather than their surname.
75% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Merlot, 10% Petit Verdot and 5% Merlot that spends 12 months in French oak.
Exuberant nose - flame raisins and ripe sweet fruit. Oh so pure and bright, but seasoned with a herb touch - cloves, black cherry, dried sage and freshly roasted coffee. The core is sweet, luscious and well defined.
Textured, with some sweet fruit - blueberries, blackberries and mulberries. Spiced redcurrants, with some sun dried tomatoes and sweet herbal character.
Named after the famous Roman military general who defeated Hannibal in the second Punic War. 100% Cabernet Franc, from one vineyard at 400 metres. This extraodinary wine is only made in the best vintages - just 4000 bottles made of the 2010.
The wine spends 24 months in French Barriques, before another 12 months in bottle before release.
Complex spice and floral notes, dusty cherries and plums with some savoury character and green bell pepper. Grippy tannins encompassing a velvety core.
