A sumptuous Chardonnay from Langhe with some soft toast, honeydew melon and a fine, textured palate.
I make no great claims about this wine, but it’s very nicely made, silky and tasty and does what it should. Some producers try too hard to make substantial Dolcetto, but miss the charm and the everyday nature of the grape when done well. Very pleasant with pasta and for easy drinking with food
"Plenty of near-term appeal. Sweet red cherry, mint, crushed flowers, cinnamon and wild flowers are laced into the perfumed, silky finish" – Antonio Galloni
"Renato Corino is one of the leading exponents of the modern school in Barolo." Antonio Galloni
"Impeccable Barolo from Renato Corino." - Renato Corino. We second that. It's quite superb. Delicious now with super flavours and complexity. “I loved this wine so much the other night with some pasta and tomato sauce with basil. It was so very very good to drink. So rarely do you get Barolo that has such charm, with warmth, and depth, and delicious flavours when young, yet retains that integrity that a Barolo purist would like to see, that will see it through the next decade or two. Both write-ups from Galloni and Larner get the essence of this wine - “beguiling but plenty of tension..impeccable Barolo”… “expressive and broad with an open and genuine quality that distinguishes it from its peers” - Robin Davis, Founder, SWIG
