The devil (or at least the incredible flavour) really is in the detail with this wine. Hand picking, minimal intervention, natural fermentation in oak barrels and naturation on the lees keep the grapefruit and floral citrus nose while giving the wine a bit more to shout about on the beautifully rounded palate. With 96 points from James Halliday this is a go to wine for purity, minerality and most importantly quality!
It isn't often that you get wines that are such a labour of love for such an affordable price. The grapes are handpicked and each parcel is dealt with seperately ensuring that you get the best possible flavour. Vivacious, luscious and tempting, this glides out of the glass and calls you in with its siren song. Give in to the waves of juicy cherry and raspberry. Be seduced by the blood orange and dainty floral edge and let the currants, kirsch and cloves mesmerise you.
Here at Swig we absolutely adore being a bit silly and having some fun but occassionaly even we acknowledge that being grown up is necessary and this is one grown up, elegant and sophisticated wine! It has delicate floral top notes which are in perfect harmony with the spicy rich fruity character of Shiraz. An excuse to put on your favourite classical composer and indulge as only the most refined do.
Very fine pure nose and palate. One of the finest Yabby Lake Single Vineyard Pinot Noirs to date. Very much in the cool climate style, showing finesse and elegance, but plenty of lovely, fine Pinot character.
Another stunning wine from the seemingly unstoppable Tom Carson, rightfully sweeping up awards such as the Best Pinot Noir Trophy at the Royal Queensland Wine Show 2015. It has lots of zippy, tangy, juicy raspberry flavours backed up by a savoury meaty undertone. Drinking well now but leave it a little longer if you want a bit more of those leafy, mushroomy characters famous from Pinot Noir.
