Great value 'grower champagne'
This is so good. Made with techniques normally reserved for much more expensive Champagnes, and very rarely, it's a Blanc de Noirs made from only the black grapes Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier that is matured in oak barrels and then blended with the reserve wines. Whenever we serve this to friends they cannot believe how delicious Champagne can be.
‘Great discovery…exquisite…warm brioche…lovely richness’
"A sip is a proper sliver of luxury" - Victoria Moore (The Telegraph)
A hugely exciting Champagne discovery. "As soon as I had finished my sample, I went on-line and bought some of this amazing value in Champagne, in part just to re-taste and make sure it was really this good." - David Schildknecht, The Wine Advocate, 94 points
95 points, 5 Stars ***** - Decanter's only 'Outstanding Champagne' in January issue 2014. OUTSTANDING “Deutz (2006) heads the pack for its gentle, fresh, aromatic character.”
"A very fine elegant expression of 2006… The balance of ripeness and sustaining acidity is spot-on.” - Michael Edwards
Exquisitely beautiful Grand Cru Champagne made from 100% Chardonnay from Mesnil sur Oger and Oger. The fruit is taken only from the 'heart of the cuvee', that's to say the most luxurious part of the fruit that comes from the pressing. The luxury Champagne is aged in wooden barrels. It is absolutely amazing with a lovely texture. It's excellent with sushi as an aperitif and served with a fish course.
Oh how terribly exciting, the release of the 2008 vintage of Champagne Pol Roger! This holds all of the classic characteristics that define a "great" vintage - it's vibrant, taut, structured and brilliantly complex. Quite possibly the best young Pol since the ’96.
