One of our best finds ever, positively brimming with tangy grapefruit refreshment. We now have the 2014 vintage in, so the 2013 needs a home. It's superb and will be very good until at least the end of the year.
One of our best finds ever, positively brimming with tangy grapefruit refreshment
Delightful bright and perky Sauvignon from the Loire Valley. Ideal for parties and casual dining.
A great substitute for Sancerre with juicy citrus, gun flint and nettles.
Delicate, fine, nettle, super tang, refreshers-like finish. Lifted floating aromas. Elegance with a very pretty finish and good length. This is much more subtle that a Kiwi Sauvignon.. It just has everything you want from Sauvignon, not too much and not too little.
Lovely, waxy gripping Chenin that's supremely expressive for the price.
This is luxury Sauviignon, with lashings of fruit, yet so stylish and restrained. Mosts importantly of all it's absolutely delicious.
A delicious, hand-made artisanal white from the Roussillon with a contemporary feel to it. "Offers notions of white peach, dried pineapple, mineral and loads of white flower-like qualities, as well as a medium-bodied, rich and balanced profile on the palate" - The Wine Advocate
This is classic. Lemon butter on the nose. The palate is honeyed with a generous texture. Delicious. Brilliant with fish.
"Seek this out" The Wine Advocate. Swig note - Really lovely open nose. Deep with the warmth of a good vintage. It has nice texture and weight but it's fresh and elegant too. It's a lovely more characterful alternative to Chablis at this price with definitely a hint of Meursault about it. Really lovely.
"It is a dead-ringer for a fine Condrieu." 91 points, Robert Parker
A deceptively simple St Aubin - Olivier Lamy's calling card
This is the lightest and most forward of Lamy's cuvees - one for drinking from now until 2018
Having loved the Les Grechons Blanc from Michel Mallard, we now find ourselves loving another wine from this overachieving vineyard, this time from Maratray-Dubreuil. It's clearly a great spot for Chardonnay in the Cote d'Or.
For lovers of classic white burgundy, this will fit the bill
Beautiful, elegant nose – blind you would think it was fine Chassagne or Puligny. Lithe, waxy texture with pineapple and grapefruit, luscious fibrous texture – candied citrus and posh boiled sweets. Tremendous mouthfeel and memorable finish. 13.5% drink now - 2022
The most stunning nose. Really exciting, top gear white Burgundy. Beautiful, elegant, good texture, singing fruit. Lovely and lifted. This is top quality. Superb length "Readers disowning white Burgundy because of prices should really stock up on these... a treasure trove of often outstanding wines" - Neal Martin, The Wine Advocate. 92-94 pts, The Wine Advocate.
Amazing depth and power on the nose yet balanced by the bright mineral and citrus notes. A beautiful mouthful with good weight but not over powering. A bit fatter on the palate than the Vignes Blanche. Very well balanced with with a core of citrus zing that adds back bone but which does not stand out. Luxurious. "This is a lovely effort" - Allen Meadows
Selected by Decanter Magazine as one of the best value Burgundies at the 'en primeur' tastings held in London in January 2013
"This is first-rate." - Allen Meadows
Incredibly exciting new producer that we are delighted to offer. Lovely elegant fruit, some sherbert, fresh pure, vibrant Puligny. This is only Pernot's second vintage and already he's impressing all and sundry. It’s a bright, zingy-yet-serious style, with great lemon tang and that sense of liquid running over stone. Proper village Puligny-Montrachet, excellent quality and genuinely exciting to drink. Superb length. Drink now or enjoy a few cases over the next 6 or so years.
Super fine linear pure style of Burgundy with excellent depth and balancing verve, yet flavoursome and gorgeous with it. If you need to prove to a friend how good white Burgundy can be, show them this. Made by one of the region's most respected winemakers Pierre-Yves Colin.
Much sought after Alsace Riesling. 3 bottles available
Stunning dry Riesling that sends shivers down your goosebumps
Really good Bordeaux style; hints of stalk, soft fruit, very pure. Refreshing. Excellent wine for roast beef and other roast dinners and a versatile every day wine.
A beautifully perfumed, juicy southern French Syrah and Grenache blend which combines lightness of touch and fruit intensity. A favourite of ours. It comes from the Terrasses du Larzac, which is one of the most exciting regions in France for th Southern Rhone / French style. "My theory is that Terrasses du Larzac is the greatest spot in the Languedoc" Andrew Jefford

Brimming with southern French warmth and personality – a real bargain.
Super smooth red from the Languedoc-Roussillon - a great new find!
Bushels of fruit, cranberries, blackberries and plums from the nose are wrapped in plush, soft-textured tannins on the palate. The effect is sensual, and that texture is guiding, caressing the palate for both the beginning and the middle, before the depth and grip of the tannins assert themselves. The effect is to be both plush and decadent whilst structured and serious at the same time. Contradictory? Perhaps, but deliciously and more-ishly so.
This is just the sort of claret you want to hand.
Pinot Noir from the Loire Valley, wonderfully fresh and pure and supple!
"One of the regions most underappreciated talents” - The Wine Advocate. Only 5 barrels produced
Beautiful old fashioned Rhone: Blueberries from the Syrah with cherries and plums from the Grenache, the nose bears that rustic southern Rhone perfume, garrigue notes, purple flowers and woodspice. It's a beautiful and wonderful thing to sniff the contributions of both the grape varieties in harmony. There's a bit of savoury meatiness there as well. The palate is lively, with a wild rusticity tamed by bright, nuanced fruit. It manages to be plush and exciting all at once, with a briary, seude mouthfeel. Delicious now, but tight knit it will keep and drink beautifully over the next 5 or 6 years.
The aromas are superb with high notes of Cotes du Nuits Pinot, the type we adore, that get you excited from the first nosing. The fruits are dark more like dark cherry than strawberry, with hints of the earthiness and game of things to come as the wine evolves. This is dense, which is fun, as Burgundy is so often so light yet the wine is supple and drinking beautifully now.
The only Chateauneuf rated OUTSTANDING of 107 tasted! 95+/100pts - 'Decanter Magazine' March 2014. “Grenache back to the 1930s and 1940s lies at the heart of its stylish appeal” Delicious to drink now. Astonishingly reasonable price.
A class act! A wine with that elusive, magical quality which keeps us coming back to Burgundy
