Wonderfully rich and succulent Languedoc red

Tasting Notes
This is a modern interpretation of an age old southern Rhone formula – velvety Syrah, rich Grenache and brooding Mourvedre – and it works a treat. A ripe, perfumed Mediterranean beauty with dark floral overtones and notes of tobacco and meat on the nose. On the palate juicy sweet berries, blackcurrant jam and Swiss chocolate abound with the 20% new oak imparting roasted coffee and spice to the brew. The flavours are heart-warming, but not bullying or tannic. It’s full-bodied, concentrated and has layers of appeal. So comforting it brings out your inner couch potato. Simply yummy! 13.5% alc. Drink now-2014.
